The Chiropractic Adjustment
An adjustment is the gentle technique utilized by a chiropractor restore better position, function and control of a spinal vertebra. In other words, the adjustment is how we correct Vertebral Subluxation.
The Chiropractic adjustment is so safe, gentle and effective that is routinely given to people of all ages, from newborns to the elderly.
In fact, statistically, Chiropractic is far safer than even aspirin! Chiropractic's safety is even indirectly endorsed by the insurance industry, in the form of malpractice insurance rates. The average chiropractor's rates are between1/10th to 1/100th that of his/her medical counterparts. This fact is not due in any way to any love of Chiropractic on the part of the insurance industry. Rather, it speaks directly to risk, the incredibly low risk of the Chiropractic adjustment. (Actually, one has more chance of being hurt by lightening than by an adjustment from a Chiropractor!)
Chiropractic Adjustment Techniques
There are numerous Chiropractic techniques. We have found three techniques that are each very effective and compliment each other very well. We use Activator Methods and two hands-on techniques: diversified and toggle recoil.
The mix of these techniques gives us the ability to effectively serve many more people than we would otherwise be able to utilizing any single technique. After all, everyone is different. It makes sense that different people will respond differently. That is why we employ the few choice techniques we do.
