Meet the Doctors

We, Drs. David W. Basista and Grace Lau-Basista, have dedicated our lives to raising a happy healthy family and sharing that health and happiness with our community through Chiropractic. We are the proud parents of two wonderful children: Danika and Nathan. Vitality Chiropractic is our vision. A place of health where everyone is welcome.

"I'­d wante­d to be a doctor from the age of 8, to help people. I w­as in pre-med school at the University of California, San Diego. But, I was unhappy with the attitudes I found there. Then, I met several pre-Chiropractic students. They were all so upbeat, caring and friendly. I finished my degree in biochemistry and proceeded in a new direction: Chiropractic. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made."

Dr. Lau-Basista graduated from the University of San Diego in 1987, with a Bachelors degree in biochemistry. She went on to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in December of 1990, with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. She is past treasurer of the Santa Clara Chiropractic Society. a member of the California Chiropractic Association, and the World Chiropractic Alliance.

"I owe a lot to my undergrad college guidance counselor, whose name I wish I could remember. She said that I shouldn't go into Chiropractic, that perhaps I should become a physical therapist or a 'real doctor'! If she hadn't been so insistent, I may have wavered in my pursuit of what has proven to be my ideal path.  I get to touch people's lives through the Chiropractic adjustment, and they become healthier and happier because of it!"

Dr. Basista graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in June of 1990, with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. He has earned fellow candidate status with the American Academy of Applied Spinal Biomechanical Engineering. He is a member of the California Chiropractic Association, World Chiropractic Alliance and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. And, he is the award-winning, current Editor of the Santa Clara County Chiropractic Society's newsletter, the Vital Link.
